What is Quadball?
Quadball, formerly known as Quidditch, is a mixed-gender full-contact sport that combines elements of rugby, handball and dodgeball. The aim of the six, or later seven, players is to score more points than the opposing team. Points are scored when the chasers score goals or the seeker catches the flag.
Quadball in Darmstadt
Quadball (formerly Quidditch) has been played in Darmstadt since 2014. As part of the TU Darmstadt university sports programme, we are one of the oldest quadball clubs in Germany.
We train at both the Darmstadt Hochschulstadion and the Bürgerpark.
Our regular training times
We love seeing new faces! Just come along to one of our training sessions and try out quadball:
- Tuesdays: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. | Hochschulstadion (artificial turf pitch)
- Fridays: 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. | Hochschulstadion (artificial turf pitch)
During the summer semester, we also train on Thursdays in Bürgerpark.
What do you need for training?
- Sportswear (we train outdoors all year round)
- Sports shoes, studded shoes if available
- Drink
- Mouthguard if available, so you’re ideally equipped for tackling
- For Tuesday and Friday training: Access code for the university stadium. If you don’t have an access code yet, just contact our trainers and they will let you in.
